HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The commonwealth's public safety radio system handled record-breaking traffic as first responders, including PennDOT, PA State Police and local officials, were able to communicate without interruption during the recent back-to-back snow emergencies.

"We are very pleased with the system's performance during the storms. Brennan noted that the system's coverage was temporarily impacted by the power outages in Greene County.

"Many areas in Greene County were without electricity most of the week. While this affected some small areas on the system, our backup generators enabled us to retain most of the radio coverage in the county," Brennan said.

The PA-STARNet is one of the largest public safety communications systems in North America, and is one of the largest private microwave networks anywhere.

Detectives with the Nassau County Sheriff's Office are looking for two men they say were involved in the Sept. 4 armed robbery of a Dairy Queen in Yulee on Florida 200.

According to a Sheriff's Office release, the arrest of Terrance Lamont McWilson, 22, of Yulee on Jan. 15 in the armed robbery led to arrest warrants being issued for Onquarius Dalon Swails, 20, of Yulee and Edward Nicholas Reeder, 18, of St. Marys, Ga. Reeder previously resided in Yulee.

McWilson was charged with two counts of armed robbery and was jailed at the Nassau County Detention Center on $200,004 bail.

Detectives say Swails and Reeder are also suspects in the Sept. 1 armed robbery of a Kangaroo Express on U.S. 17.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts should call the Nassau County Sheriff's Office at 225-5174.

Detectives said the woman was living with her grandson and his wife since December, after moving there from a nursing home in North Carolina. Detectives interviewed the caregivers Feb. 5 and served a search warrant at their residence early Feb. 6.

INITIAL AUTOPSY REPORT FINDS NO EVIDENCE OF HOMICIDE

Although a Feb. 5 autopsy in Jacksonville did not reveal any evidence of injury or trauma relating to a homicide, police await toxicology test results.

MANILA, March 2 (Xinhua) -- A public school building in Masbate in central Philippines was burned down by heavily-armed men early Tuesday, an army officer said.

Alvin Tiamwatt, chief of Task Force of Masbate, said that local residents were shocked to see the school building razed down by flames at around midnight.

Onlookers saw some of the armed men as they hurriedly departed from the crime scene while firing shots in the air.

Local police and the military found containers of gasoline believed to be used in starting the flames.

"This is another barbaric act committed by heartless people. Our children don't have classrooms anymore!", complained one resident who refused to postcard printing be identified.

Neither side is likely to win much public sympathy. But a victory for dentists will ultimately mean higher bills for patients with insurance. In a year when the nation is struggling to find a solution to rising health care costs, Virginia's legislators seem determined to push them even higher.

"The Dream City" is the theme of the Danish pavilion in the Expo, said Jens Martin Alsbirk from the Center for Africa, Asia, Americas and the Middle East of the Danish foreign ministry in an interview with Xinhua, adding the exposition would be the best chance to introduce Denmark to China and the world.

LIKE something from a waxworks museum. That was how one Italian newspaper described David Beckham following AC Milan's defeat by 10-man Inter in their city derby 22 days ago.

It was harsh on Beckham, mainly because he did not deserve to be singled out. The waxworks comment could have applied to any of Milan's ageing team.

The lack of pace, of fluid movement, has become one of the common criticisms of this Milan side and was a major factor in Inter being able to play for an hour with 10 men and still win comfortably. Milan could not stretch their opponents.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was present at the San Siro that night and while he will not have departed complacent, he will not have left trembling either.

Milan were missing two significant individuals then. Alessandro Nesta and Pato were injured. The vastly experienced Nesta, 34 next month, will be back in central defence for tomorrow night's Champions League clash against United in Italy. Auditions will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. All are welcome and roles are open for men and women. Men are especially encouraged to audition.
