Militants ambush police, wounds 3 in S. Afghanistan

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- As clash between Afghan-NATO forces and Taliban entered its fourth day in Marja district, the militants ambushed a police unit in other part of Helmand province - Nahr-e-Saraj on Tuesday, wounding three constables, provincial administration spokesman Daud Ahmadi said.

The forces also returned fire and inflicted casualties on militants, he stressed.
